Knife Steel Overview

New kinds of steel are being forged and created virtually every day and it’s tough to keep track of them.  Here is just a brief overview of some of the common steels used for knife-making over the past few years (like 2010-2020) … ish!  We have lots of articles on knifeup.com that break down the qualities of these various steels used in knife-making.  Be sure to search for whatever steel you’re curious about and we’ll give you the lowdown and recommend an excellent knife with that steel!
